For the first time, we celebrate our birthday, eighth birthday, with our Facebook community and we thought it is high time we show ourselves, our way.

Transforming ourselves into "Jinisans" or paper representations of people in Paper Quilling, eight of us take turns to count down to eight days to our eighth birthday.  On the day itself, we come together to celebrate the occasion in a party called "Bolt From the Blue" where we have to be dressed in at least a piece of blue - our corporate colour - attire.

On our fifth birthday, we have personally "baked" a cake for our corporate partners to show our appreciation for their continued support throughout the years.  Of course, strictly speaking, the cake is more of quilled than baked.  Right from the cake decorations to the candles, almost everything about the cake is quilled.  There are even two "flavours" to choose from!

We have the decadent Chocoholic cake that is festooned with roses and other dainty flowers.  Beautiful butterflies flit among these blooms.

In conjunction with our Magic Christmas collection, we have conjured a holiday corporate gift based on the "magic" theme, and what could have been a better subject than the magician's top hat?  One moment, the top hat is a candy caddy and the next, it is a tissue holder.

Decorating boxes is popular with quillers but the Magic Hat Candy Caddy goes one step further - it is made almost entirely with Paper Quilling!  Each candy caddy comes with candies and when these candies are all eaten up, the caddy could be re-used as a storage box for other trinkets.

The Magic Hat Tissue Holder is also made with Paper Quilling.  Strips from about twenty sheets of A1-sized (84.1 cm by 59.4 cm) paper are used to quill the hat with black velvet as the finishing touch.  The brim of the hat is seamlessly designed to be the removable lid for replacing new boxes of tissue with.  There is also a magic wand to match which contains candies as an extra treat.
